Time to kick back on a Friday with female founders, celebrate the month we've just had and hear some straight-from-the-hip-and-heart stories from our group to inspire us for another month..
First up - Chris Archer
Chris Archer has kindly supplied bottled happiness to Founders Exchange since our first meetup, so we thought it's about time we the Joiy story - Chris is a wine-making veteran who has created Joiy, a lightly carbonated riesling-based alcoholic drink, with a plan to turn it into a global beverage brand on a par with Coca-Cola, Corona and Heineken.
Followed by - Zheng
Zheng is the founder of Zing Design (http://www.zingdesign.com/) - a company that's grown from her to a team of 5 in just about a year. As a result Zheng has had to hire - and fire - under pressure, making decisions about her company growth quickly. She'll share her hiring and firing stories, her tips and traps for unwary players and how she's managing the transition from small to medium...
And finally - books! One of our members pointed out that we are all often inspired by business books (for her; recently Gay Hendricks, The Big Leap and right now a fantastic book "Stop Bitching, Start Pitching") but it would be great to know what others read and recommend -(actually now I think about it, there are probably a lot of blogs out there too...and podcasts that people in our group subscribe to, and would recommend) So please bring any books you're happy to share, or recommendations.
