Founders Exchange July - putting the "social" into entrepreneurship

Join us for some mid-winter wines, to learn about Social Enterprise, for a chance to connect with friends and potential friends in the female founder community and blow your minds with some awesome stories from fellow female founders...

Silvia Zuur and Viv Maidaborn are Wellington entrepreneurs who are part of the Enspiral Network, they're exploring alternative business models and funding structures, having fun and growing sustainable businesses along the way.

Viv is co-founder of Loomio, a collaborative decision-making tool built with opensource software. Silvia is co-founder of Chalkle, a vibrant learning community... AND she's organising a Social Enterprise conference in Wellington on 15 August, too!  Viv & Silvia will share their stories, talk about social enterprise, what it is, the challenges and satisfactions, and why is it different from other kinds of entrepreneurship.

...followed by chatting, celebrating, commiserating, introducing, scheming, hiring, firing, planning, laughing, drinking, eating... and all the other things we can get done on a Friday night together.

PLEASE bring a plate or a bottle to help us out with the catering. Anything and everything welcome.  AND please UNRSVP if you can't make it nearer the time.  Please also pass this on to colleagues, friends and family who you think would enjoy the Founders Exchange.

    HI all,

First I want to say that I really enjoyed the meet up on Friday! As requested, here's details about the book drive for the local prisons - - there is a central city drop off point if you have any books to pass on.

Hi All, thanks for the warm welcome to the group this evening - really enjoyed it and wish I could make the next one. The tech (ish) start up I'm involved with back home is - aimed at 16-24 year olds to help them identify, develop and showcase their soft skills. It's early days for us so we'd love to get some 'overseas' users to prove its potential for world domination (!) as we seek the investment we need to develop it further. So if you know anyone in that age group who might enjoy a creative, engaging and gameified approach to showing their 'spark+mettle' to potential employers, do pass it on :)

    The platform is
    The charity behind it is

And if anyone would like to know more, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Thanks in advance if you can help :)

Just discovered this great group. Can't make it this month but will get the August date in my diary right now!

I'm actually seeing that it is not the right group for me after all - I was thrown by the subject of your discussion this month and thought you were a social enterprise group. My organisation provides training to the non-profit and social care sectors so is not techy. Hope your meet ups go well though.
