I'm a feminist who is interested in building community and sharing ideas.

What made you realize you were a feminist?

I learned I was a feminist when I found out what the word "feminism" meant.

What does feminism mean in your life?

Feminism is about subverting the patriarchy and empowering women. In my life, this means identifying sources of oppression and combating them with education and joyful resistance.

What do you want to see happen in this group?

I would love to have a monthly reading group, or perhaps get some guest speakers. I'd also like to discuss films, and ideas generally (one topic I'm particularly interested in is body acceptance).
