Game Night

I have found a place that will let us hold our monthly game nights there. A comics/games/MtG/D&D shop on Delaware called Collector's Inn. The owner is awesome, and he very much wants to build community. Tuesday nights works for him to have us there.

Good times as always! Ticket to Ride and Beananza (aka 'merican version) were both a lot of fun - even with Kelly and Tim's anti-Steve trade embargo (you can just keep your damn green beans then...)!! And we had a great turnout - thanks to everyone for coming.

And best of all no one lost a hand - it's win/win!

I'll be bringing Cards Against Humanity, and maybe Ticket to Ride.

    • Kelly G.

      Glad everyone enjoyed it!

It was fun -and- lent itself to amusing commentary - what more could anyone ask for? Well, aside from black decks of course ;)

    We'll be there in 10!

Aaah guys I'm sorry, something came up at the last minute and I won't be able to make it tonight! Hope to meet all of you another time!

    June 17

    • Steve G

Shame. You'll have to come to some other outing (so we can check that nerd card)

Looking forward to meeting you another time!

I'm here at one of the front tables ... We have two currently set aside for us :)

I have a scheduling issue and will not make it. Have fun

I was expecting a last minute 'yes' RSVP from Tom! Way to keep me guessing! And watch out for manholes for God's sake...

Just wondering, from anyone that has been there, as I have not been there, does the collector's inn have a large enough area and tables and chairs if 20 or so people show up? If they have game tournaments and such they probsbly do but I thought I should ask. Do we have to let them know ahead of time the amount of people?

Can we bring things like drinks/snacks? I don't want to mess this guy's store up.

      June 17

    • Effie (Stephanie) M.

Should be fine I see others here with snacks. Looks like we are sharing the space but we should still be fine :)

I will bring Rampage and various other (will include some kind of auction game, worker placement, area control, and racing at least) If there is any interest in something heavier, let me know.

Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I are wondering if there will be any video games up that night. We love to play Super Smash Brothers and would love to know if anyone else would like to play. We could bring the equipment if anyone is interested.

I've been looking to get a videogame game night together for awhile but can't seem to find a location (other than the Screening Room which would be awesome but it's about $300 to rent). Anyone have any suggestions?

      June 16

    • Ryan G.

Steve, I think some of the local libraries have rooms that have TV's big enough for a game night. I think the library in Grand Island had one when we had game night there. I also think Oogie Games hosts events in their back room, but I have no idea how much it costs.

Hi. Though I can use my GPS to find it, I wanted to find the place in Google Maps, and see it in Street view, so I'll know what to look for. As I had asked 6 days ago.
I start looking at the Supercuts, then I've looked down the block from between the Dollar General and Pizza Hut, and the Noco down the block. Where is it? Thanks!

      Thanks.

I will bring Zombie Fluxx and Bananagrams with me. And maybe Resistance. Who else is bringing games?

Rsvp'd, not entirely sure I can make it out. Hope to meet everyone though!

Hi all! I'd like to go to this but I am woefully inexperienced with tabletop gaming aside from having whiled away a semester playing Scion and other White Wolf games (also some drunk D&D that didn't get past character creation and is therefore probably not something that should be counted). Will my nerd card be revoked if I show up and am completely useless at gaming?

    1 · June 10

    • Leo

It's less tabletop RPGs and more board games and party games. You'll be fine.

      June 11

    • Yara

OK, that's great! I'll try to make it to game night, then - looking forward to meeting all of you!

My wife and I have RSVP'ed and would like to know what kind of games do you all usually play? We are new to Buffalo and love games. Thank you!

    June 11

    • Steve G

We tend to play board or party games (i.e. Cards Against Humanity, Munchkin, We Didn't Play test this at All). But we're open to new games as well - if you guys have something you'd like to share bring it along!

For those that don't know, I now will be able to come to events for the weeks I said I couldn't come: the assignment for the job I was gonna work, they changed the times from 6am-4:30pm to 7:30pm-9am,
    so I canceled.
Also, where is the place in Google maps Street view? I can't find it.

Hmm this sounds promising. How does the owner feel about vulgarity? Cause some of our members have some challenges along those lines. I'm not pointing any fingers or anything (except I -totally- am) - just asking >:)

As for a date - just taking a stab at this but how about 6/17? That's about a month removed from the May incarnation

How did we go from cussing to pie...?

      May 20

    • Steve G

All my conversations end up at pie - I'm surprised you didn't notice!

      May 21

  • Alberto V.

    maybe...

    May 19

    • Steve G

Hmm what can we do to upgrade this 'maybe' to a 'yes'... Perhaps a special appearance by "Andrea*"??

      May 19

    • Steve G

*Disclaimer: proprietor of the preceding message does not guarantee that "Andrea" will be the actual Andrea that used to come to stuff. Or another woman named Andrea. Or even a picture of someone named Andrea. Proprietor should really come up with a better plan...

I know the place. Dropped in it once to check it out. Seems like a cool place I been meaning to get back to.

They recently moved 5 blocks closer to Sheridan Dr. It's a much bigger location than the last =)

      May 16

    • Leo

Ah! I was unaware of that. Bigger is better, as I do remember it being kind of cramped as a bunch of guys were coming in to play Magic in the back.

      May 17

  • Effie (Stephanie) M.

Also, they have their own parking lot, which means parking will be easy.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
