SCI-FI Night The Adjustment Bureau and Westworld

I really enjoyed The Adjustment Bureau when it came out and this is a real treat to see it again on the big screen. The second feature is a cult classic with Yul Brenner in it. One you just have to see to believe. There will also be trivia and classic trailers too. The Screening Room is in NorthTown Plaza in the back off of Baily. I hope to see you there. The show starts at 7, but I set the time for 6:45 so we can congregate before hand.

P.S. I know most of you already know the location, but I noticed the address on this MEETUP and it looks right on the map, but The Screening Room lists their address as:
    3131 Sheridan Drive
    Amherst, NY 14226
The pushpin lands on the same spot on the map. It's behind Tom's on Sheridan Drive near the corner of Bailey.

Hi. I just read short story from Phillip K. Dick. It has a many of the same elements, but was quite different from the movie. The short story is out there on the web for free. See you Friday!

Westworld is based on the novel by Michael Crichton. When we think of great android/robot actors we tend to think of people like Anthony Daniels and Brent Spiner, but who thinks of Yul Brenner! He's awesome in this role - Draaaw! And, look for Gene Roddenberry's wife in this film! Remeber, mention MEETUP and get in for $8 ! ! !

The Adjustment Bureau is based on a Phillip K. Dick short story. It's starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. Emily Blunt is in the 2014 sci-fi movie Edge of Tomorrow. The Adjustment Bureau is a different kind of sci-fi film. It mostly slipped through the cracks and many didn't see it, making it a pick of August 8. FYI: Mention MEETUP and get in for $8 ! ! !
