(Apologies for the quiet on the list. A sudden unexpected illenss in my family has dominated most of my free time since the new year. New Sunday sessions will be scheduled soon!) Oh Yes--We’re back--and this time we’re invading the stage at Otto’s Shrunken Head! You may be familiar with Otto’s from Tony Bourdain’s TV show No Reservations on the Travel Channel. Otto’s is Alphabet City’s only tiki bar and rock and roll venue.You can expect amazing Hawaiian-esque drinks, a great beer selection and (my personal favorite) the award winning Bloody Marys. And of course, you can expect the finest nude art models New York has to offer, our inspirational house DJ, and some amazing acts during the breaks. It’s like a 3-ring circus for artists! Please bring your own art materials, and remember there’s absolutely no photography permitted! During the breaks, we offer the amazing music and comedy talents of : Mike Ogletree from Simple Minds! The East River String band! Angry Bob from HBO’s Bored to Death! Gregory Levine! Maggie Nutall! Bob Bell! We’ve chosen a Monday this time. Why wait till the weekend to treat yourself? Eat dessert first and come draw on Monday!

Tis event is for people OVER 21 only! My apologies for not thinking to mention this before. Otto's cards everyone who enters.
(We may also use another location in the future that will be all ages, so stay tuned!)Our regular Sunday sessions are open to all ages. February dates will be posted shortly.

Hey folks--don't let all those drawing you did at Draw-mania! languish in a pad on a shelf when you can share them with all your new Draw-mania! friends! I'm looking forward to seeing more amazing artwork (since I didn't draw at this event, myself). You can upload them to the Meetup photo album at any time. You can't get compliment if no one see them! Do it!

jeffEvent HostOrganizerI never expected so many people on a Monday evening, but I'm sure glad you all came out. It was an amazing night! The models (some you know and some new faces) were terrific, the energy was great and the creative fire crackled in the air like lightening! I can't wait to see what kind of drawing will come out of it..please post your art!
