Ever wondered about anatomy or surgery and it's origins?
Not quite your ordinary museum, focused on anatomy and surgery.
The Hunterian Museum collections have been brought together over four centuries by a cast of colourful characters including the surgeon and anatomist John Hunter [masked]). They are a fascinating mix of human and animal anatomy and pathology specimens, wax teaching models, surgical and dental instruments as well as paintings, drawings and sculpture.
Entrance is free and open to all (£3 recommended donation).
Any questions please refer to http://www.rcseng.ac.uk/museums/hunterian/information or ask below.
PS Please consider this is a museum of the Royal College of Surgeons so while it is highly professional it is also potentially unsettling for those of a squeamish or mild disposition (for your sake there are no such images here).
