An informal survey

Greetings, cinephiles!

I'm so excited that the Film Connoisseurs group is going on two years old and that we have 102 members! It's good to know that there are this many people in Jacksonville who appreciate foreign and independent films.

But I have some questions for those of you who have joined but never come to an event.

1. What day would be ideal for you to see a movie? During the week? Saturday or Sunday? Friday?
2. What time do you prefer? Early afternoon? Late afternoon? Evening?

Please let me know your thoughts. I believe that if you just hit reply, it will go out to everyone, but I think you can just reply to me. You can also message just me through the meetup website.

As many of you know, with a few exceptions, it is very hard to schedule these movies in advance. The theaters don't usually know what they will be showing until the prior Wednesday evening. Add to that, most of these films don't play more than a week. We have generally gone to see movies in the late afternoon (like around 5 p.m.) to enable us to go out for drinks/snacks/dinner and movie discussion afterwards.

Based on your input, I could try scheduling meetups at different times. And I'm cerainly open to thoughts/suggestions from the regulars in the group!

Thanks for your time, and hope to see you at the next film.
