Café Scientifique - The search for Alfred the Great

Café Scientifique is a regular lecture and Q&A event about various topics, held usually monthly in term time organised by the University but held in the Monroe's Rock Cafe (formerly Deja Vu bar) just off Broad Street. There's usually a big crowd in a small space, so come early and look out for me.

It was most illuminating. The lecturer was enthusiastic and presented her findings well. Company was solicitous too.

Really sorry (and annoyed) that I can no longer make this one. I have to go to a Beaver Camping weekend meeting in stead. If anyone would like to go camping with a bunch of Beaver scouts, in stead of me, I will gladly swap places.
