Hi All! I met Jessica Epstein the other night, and see that she's a member of this group - which sounds like a great group! Thanks for the discovery, Jessica!

What is your favorite film(s)?

Oooh! So many favorites! Changes at each moment in time. "Strictly Ballroom" just popped into my head right now, as well as "Life and Nothing But" - this French film about a post WWII statistician and his nemesis who is looking for an unknown soldier.

What do you want to gain from being a part of Film Minyan?

    I like the paper by Lindemuth and Siemon. The first section seems solid, and follows the sort of back of the envelope calculations used effectively by David MacKay's "Sustainable Energy Without the Hot Air". It might be possible to take these ideas and make something more accessible. I would be cautious about sections 10 and onwards - there is a lot of speculation there. I am excited about MTF, but it lacks experimental verification. I look forward to meeting you and discussing this further!
