The screenwriters' group meets weekly to help writers develop working screenplays, with the intention of becoming better writers and getting our work production ready.
Everyone is encouraged to bring scripts! any new pages you've written, works in progress, final drafts--we are especially keen on shorts around 10 pages, but also 10 to 15 pages of a feature, or even a treatment you're working on.
*Time permitting, All stages of work are welcome, as long as the selection is of reasonable length and reasonably proof-read!*
PLEASE DO NOT EXCEED 15 PAGES.
We will read the work out loud, then provide constructive feedback on what's working and what's not.
Writing IS rewriting. Continue this process until your work is ready for production. Where applicable, the Screenwriters' Group will recommend that your screenplay be submitted to the Leadership Team and put into production.
PLEASE NOTE: Since many users prefer some form of shiny technology screen, we use a Dropbox account to make the scripts available ahead of time and reduce the need for printing etc. Contact Milda or Daillard to get access.
Still, we do encourage folks to real_paper_print at least 3 copies for the meeting, just in case.
If you don't use the Dropbox and hope to hear your work read, please provide at least enough paper copies for your different principle characters)
See you soon!

To answer your question Carlos, yes. I am member of that group and know a lot of the people that attend the events. If you're aim is to make shorts, you may also think about web series. This group is a great showcase of some of the hottest web series, and the people who host it are experts on new media. I've presented there twice.
Does anyone know about http://studios.amazon.com/
? If yes, could we take some time to discuss how we might leverage it? if no, could someone research so we can see if we might leverage it? :) I am away, but I will start looking into it...
