INDIE INCUBATOR XV
Short-Film Fest with a $250 Cash Prize for “Best in Fest”
(CHICAGO, IL) – It’s that time of year again; time for the fifteenth installment of the Indie Incubator Film Fest! Twice a year, Chicago’s best and only bi-annual short-film fest, calls out to short film makers and lovers of independent film to submit and critique. The Original Mother’s, located at 26 West Division in Chicago, will once again host the film fest, on Tuesday, November 27, 2012.
Submit a film for no fee! Filmmakers who would like to enter a film should contact [masked]. Trailers and music videos are also accepted. Films must be submitted on or before Friday, November 23, 2012 for consideration.
Every filmmaker will take home something, but the big award for ‘Best of Fest’ is decided by the judge’s panel and earns a $250 cash prize. Additional awards such as “Most OMG” and the “Best LOL” provide bragging rights for the filmmakers who receive them. The judging panel consists of working professionals in the Chicago film community. Past judges have included Kathy Byrne from the City of Chicago’s Film Office, Eddie Griffin Producer of Image Union and Ryan “The Movie Guy” Jagiello of Cinemajaw.com.
Indie Incubator will, as always, be hosted by comic book creators and filmmakers, Matt Kubinski and Charles Klein. Doors will open at 8:00pm, and a post party to follow for the rest of the evening. There will be at least 2 hours of running time with short intermissions throughout.
There isn’t a bad seat in the house, as short films will fill the 10 foot screen and all the plasmas in the popular night spot while management even breaks out the couches and offers free popcorn, too. These shorts are anywhere from 30 seconds to 20 minutes in length, and genres run the gamut from comedy to horror, with everything in between. Admission is FREE. $5 PBR Tallboys and $5 Jameson cocktails will be the featured specials. Attendees must be 21 and over.
