Ivy Lee will be our model for this workshop, you will not be disappointed!!  Ivy is a full time traveling model originally from NY with 6+ years of modeling experience.  Below you will find some of her outstanding work, she will definitely help build your portfolio.

This will be a 4 hour Lighting and Posing Fine Art Nude workshop for experienced and inexperienced photographers who want to learn how to use light to shape the human form.  We will use natural and artificial light in this workshop, so if strobes are not your friend, well natural light will be available for you.  We will tackle various lighting challenges and provide effective solutions.  We will demonstrate tactics and strategies using simply gear to help you create stunning images.  This workshop is about producing great results that will thrill your clients or help build a wonderful portfolio.

In addition to lighting and photography assistance, the model will be available for Q&A to help you understand how to effectively Pose models to get those stunning images.  This workshop will be filled with humorous and helpful commentary and covers a wide variety of lighting techniques. In the first 1/2 hour of the workshop, we will have an introduction, followed by Q&A and a demonstration of how to work with the model.  All the photographers will get one-on-one time to work with the model and we will be right there to assist you should you need it.

Ernesto Sue will make himself available to any photographer who would like to take their image to the next level with post processing using photoshop.  This will happen while the other photographers shoot. So what will you need? bring your laptop and be sure it has Photoshop installed.  If you don't have a laptop, don't worry, Ernesto will use his own to help you style one of your image in post process.  If you don't have photoshop we will do some work in Lightroom.  You can view his work at

For those who don't follow my social media...
    My Penthouse Publication is out!
I'm super excited about it. A 10 page pictorial spread! wow! If anyone is interested in getting the magazine, you can get it from me signed and personalized on my Etsy page:
or of course, when we shoot as long as I have copies.
I've had many people asking about it so wanted to stay on top of things to keep people informed that want a copy :)

Hope to see everyone again when I come back this year! (November)

Ernesto, why was this workshop billed as a fine art nude and only glamour images are posted???

    January 27, 2014

    • Ivy L.

Because he requests to not have then nude photos posted in the group

In terms of service nude pics are not allowed. When you have a moment please review. With that said, this is why I politely ask everyone not to upload the nude pics to the group but they are free to display the pics anywhere else they wish. I hope that clarifies the issue.

I should have some to send you soon. Unfortunately, the power has been out most of the day in my neighborhood due to some bad weather (so only have the phone for now). I do have some ready to share when the lights come back on :)

Merry Christmas everyone! Two spots left for this meetup! Don't miss this opportunity to learn from others and photograph the beautiful Ivy Lee in a studio setting!

Can you provide more details on the format? How do you organize so many photographers? How do you handle strobes? Or is it continuous lighting? Thanks!

      December 25, 2013

    • Ernesto

With respect to organizing photographers, every photographer gets equal time to work with the model to work on their vision. As the title states this is not the first time we have done this format, so we know the format we have works and it's fair to all photographers. Strobes are available on site. We will also use natural light. All you need is your camera and a desire to get creative. You can also bring any props to fit your vision but the studio does have a variety of props.

Here's a Christmas bonus! We are offering a $10 discount to those who sign up by Christmas. You don't want to miss this event! Remember, the first meetup of this kind sold out!

If you have signed up already, you will be given your $10 discount on the day of the shoot or credit towards a one-on-one shoot with Ivy Lee after the meetup. I have had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful and talented Ivy Lee. Ivy Lee is one of the best traveling art models in the country today! Her list of credits grows daily. You will definitely want to have her in your portfolio!

This is a great opportunity to learn how to photograph a fine art model and learn how to successfully pose and light people in a studio setting.

Don't miss out on this one!

Promise we will have fun! :) :)

Quote from meetup attendee from my last workshop I did a couple days ago in Houston: "Wow, what can I say, Ivy was by far one of the best models I've worked with, she was so friendly and so accommodating. Her poses were superb and natural, everyone had so much fun, great bunch of photographers, everyone was professional and civil. Thanks Leon and Edward for being there to assist. Looking forward to shoot Ivy one on one when she returns in April "

Hey all! Looking forward to the event!

To note, while I have a lot of experience with Art Nudes, I do just as much glamour. For private 1-on-1 sessions, "light erotic" posing will also be available. (Please see my MM for content & restrictions for a better definition of that)

If anyone is also looking to book me additional time than the workshop and/or 1-on-1's please email me as I'm in town a few days after :)
