Just an FYI Andrew is working on a very big project for his 9 to 5, so he wasn't able to complete editing the photos as of yet. Please give him so time and he will deliver. I don't have an ETA but I know he will deliver.

Thank you again, Elisha, for the fabulous makeup! Joy wanted to go to a restaurant on the way home to see what would happen, but settled for double-takes in the drive through at Taco Bell! :D

I have decided to use film and digital. I hope the lights are balanced for daylight.

    January 11, 2013

    • Ernesto

I am digital shooter, so I don't know anything about film. That being said I check with the studio owner and he said if you choose to use the strobes, daylight film should work. In addition, he believes the Alien Bees are daylight balanced.

Thanks for checking. I doubt strobes will work with my camera. I will be using my Kiev 88 camera, and I am not sure what the flash shoe will do. It will be interesting to check it out. The Kiev 88 is the Russian version of the Hasselblad. In fact, I am using Hasselblad backs with the camera as the original Kiev backs were malfunctioning. The lenses, however, are excellent and were made in St. Petersburg. The lens mounts are not compatible with Hasselblad lenses.

Do you have to be a licensed, professional photographer to attend this event and take photos? In addition I read that the event is limited to only 6 photographers, so if I pay the 90 dollar fee what is to ensure that I will be allowed to attend and take photos? Thank you.

    January 9, 2013

    • Ernesto

No you don't have to be a professional photographer, however you do have to be professional :-). We currently have 2 photography slots open, so if you wish you are certainly free to RSVP.

  • Shereese c.

    Ok...thanks!

    December 30, 2012

  • Shereese c.

Ok...great!! Are hair stylist required to pay the $90 also? I see it says per person then further down it says per photographer.

    December 30, 2012

    • Ernesto

No and you already RSVP so you don't need to worry about that. If have any additional questions email me.

      December 30, 2012

  • Marsha G.

Ernesto, Roderick was going to contact you about this shoot. Did he? I told him about the $90.

    December 30, 2012

    • Ernesto

No, I haven't heard from him as of yet. It would be awesome if he can make it.

      December 30, 2012

  • Shereese c.

Hello all, im excited about being a part of this group! Questions : will hair stylist receive images for their ports? Retouched? How many? How soon after event?

    December 30, 2012

    • Ernesto

Yes, the photographer supplies the model, hair and mua with images for their portfolio. All images posted to the group after the event can be used, so that number could be anywhere between 1 to 5 plus images per photographer. The turn around time is about 5 days after the event.

Are the photographers a part of the planning meeting?

    December 16, 2012

    • Ernesto

No...once all the photographers have RSVP I send out a document with additional details of the photoshoot which will help you plan for the day. If I miss any details in that document I am always available to answer any questions you may have leading up to the event.

I guess that before I agree to pay I would like to know more. How is this working? I am assuming that the money is going to compensate the models? Can we see a sample of their portfolios before hand?

    November 26, 2012

    • J.Cie S.

Based on past experiences that I have, the money goes to reserving the venue, mua and hair for their product usage. And for our portfolios, there are past pictures on the past meet ups~ looking forward to working with you~ :)

      November 26, 2012

    • Ernesto

I believe J.Cie sum it up pretty nicely. The only thing I would add is the following, with the exception of Jule I can package a portfolio for each of the models if that will help you decide. I haven't worked with Jule in the pass so I don't have anything I can packaged. I think if you review the pass meetups it will help you decide. Lastly, you are getting to work with 6 different models with all different looks and advantages I am fairly confident you will walk away with some incredible images for your portfolio. If you have any more specific questions please email me and I will be happy to address.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
