One Light - Balance Artificial Light With Natural Light

  • Feb 16, 2013 · 12:00 PM

I recently attended a workshop in Fayvetteville, NC, where I showed a little about what I know with lighting. To my surprise the attendance was amazing and the feedback was great. With that said, I thought that I would do something similar with this group. I don't know if there's any interest, so I will leave the location open until I get enough photographers to RSVP.

Sample Images from the workshop I did:

Skill Set: Beginner to Intermediate.

Objective: This workshop will cover how to balance artificial light with natural light. We will demonstrate how to properly expose your image with the settings on your camera and adjusting the power on your lights. Here are the topics that will be covered:

1) Balance artificial light with natural light.

2) How does aperture, shutter speed and ISO impact your image using artificial light?

3) Shooting manual or not

4) Hands on demonstration

What you will need:

1) Camera

2) One Speed light or Strobe

3) Light Meter

As always, Ernesto delivered a well prepared workshop. Great exchange of knowledge with practical application. I encourage anyone who wants to better their photography to join one of Ernesto's meetups. You won't be disappointed.

Ernesto is an awesome instructor, and this was a very informative class! If you have the chance to work with Ernesto, either in one of his classes or in a it!!
