I'm looking for designers who want to help design solutions for education this weekend during Startup Weekend Education Oakland event. We bring together designers, educators, developers & hustlers to design prototypes to solve challenges faced in learning & teaching. Startup Weekend Education begins with open-mic 60-second pitches on Friday night that result in the formation of small teams around the best, most viable education concepts.
Teams spend Saturday & Sunday focusing on user research and designing & building prototypes with the help of experienced startup coaches. On Sunday, teams demo their education products and receive valuable feedback from a panel of expert judges. The video below shows the prototypes build during Minneapolis's event.
You can use the discount code Design4EDU to get 50% off your ticket at which includes 7 meals, infinite Post-It Notes and coffee for the entire weekend.

Ran into a scheduling snafu and will unfortunately have to miss tonight's event. Any chance the Adobe Connect session will be recorded?

I'll be attending online. So happy that this option is available because I broke my ankle and can't get around right now, but I can virtually be there tonight!! =)

Hi - I thought I was the only Fireworks user left. As the event title implies, will there really be discussion of Fireworks workflow? Thanks.

There are still a few of us Fireworks users out here, but our numbers are dwindling. :( Jason's talk on August 5 will be an interesting one, because he's been hands-on for the entire process and has some great insights into what works and what doesn't.

An Adobe product manager told me "we might have something new for you [FW users] soon!" She wasn't talking about Reflow, Muse, or anything else public, and wouldn't tell me more. Any clues?

Will Adobe make reflow web based and as easy to use as Webflow?

    1 · July 21, 2014

    • Jason W.

Hi Kevin, I don't work at Adobe and I'm not familiar with Reflow or Webflow so I can't say!

      July 23, 2014

    • Dave H.

Hi Kevin, unfortunately we don't have insights into the plans for Reflow, but none of the other Edge tools are web-based. I know that the Reflow team is familiar with the Webflow product, so they are at least aware of tools in the same space.
