First Thursday Open Mic Night

Hi everyone!

Please join us at Open Mic Night at Starbucks in downtown Winchester, hosted by Winchester Community Music School and singer/songwriter Mike Verge.  We're there from 7-9 pm on the first Thursday of every month (except July and August).

The format is all acoustic - we'll provide a PA, mics, etc... just grab your guitar, violin, harmonica.... whatever you do best and come on down, grab a coffee and play for the local crowd.

This is a great opportunity to get some performing experience in front of an appreciate and receptive audience. First time performers are more than welcome - actually, we encourage it!

See you Thursday!

Any live blues jams in the area? .... always open for these. I'm a nurse and need to unwind!

Patricia - WCMS actually has a Fat Tuesday Blues Jam on the second Tuesday of every month (which happens to be next Tuesday the 8th). Have a look at our MeetUp page here... http://www.meetup.com...

Can I plug in an electric if I promise to play softly? I don't have an acoustic, but I am no fan of volume.

Hi Richard! The host, Mike Verge, is more than welcome to let you use his acoustic. For the sake of keeping things smooth and the vibe consistent, this is how he usually handles it. Looking forward to having you there!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
