Hike Sky Meadows State Park – Lunch in Middleburg, Saturday April 6
A great way to enjoy the beginning of spring in the Blue Ridge mountains. This is a 7-mile loop hike with some nice scenic views. We’ll share short segments with the Appalachian Trail. The trail is mostly of moderate difficulty, but there is a mile stretch uphill that’s somewhat difficult.

What to Bring:
Good hiking shoes
Where: Visitor Center parking lot. Take the left road at the fork when entering from the route 710 entrance. See map at link above for details.
Time: 9:30 sharp.
In your RSVP please indicate if you need a ride. If you are coming by car and wouldn’t mind picking someone up at a nearby metro stop, please indicate how many people you can take. Hopefully we’ll have enough room for everyone. I can pick up three at the Braddock Road metro (yellow), located in Alexandria.
We should return to the parking lot no later than 12:30. For those interested, we can later head over to nearby historic Middleburg for a hearty lunch.
