BoomerAge Duluth was started to bring together adults over the age of 50 interested in getting and staying fit and promoting the concept of active aging. We are committed to improving the wellness and quality of life for the baby boomer generation. In addition to providing fitness based Meet Ups we are working to bring more healthy aging activities into our community.
BoomerAge Duluth offers a variety of physically active group activities for adults aged 50 and up in fun, safe, and social environments. Activities are hosted and led by the organizer and many dedicated event hosts.
BoomerAge is open to singles, couples, men and women. We are NOT a dating site or a singles group. BoomerAge members can bring their spouses to any Meet Up without having to purchase an additional membership. Friends and family, whether boomers or not, are welcome to come along to events when space is available.
BoomerAge does not sponsor every kind of activity and we do not attempt to meet the needs of every individual who is a member of the Baby Boomer generation. We do not intend for BoomerAge to be a large open group of inactive members as many free Meet Up groups are. Instead, this is meant to be club of like-minded individuals who will get to know one another and become friends. We request that all members attend at least four Meet Ups per year.
Activities BoomerAge sponsors include, but are not limited to: hiking, walking, biking, tennis and pickle ball, skiing, skating, snowshoeing and dancing. We do not offer strictly social activities as our focus is on promoting physical activity. Members are free to contact other members to attend movies, plays, concerts etc. Use of our website or messaging system to ask for dates, advertise for a business, promote other Meet Up groups, or send unwanted information to our members Is prohibited. As per the Meet Up guidelines, postings on our site are monitored by the organizer. Inappropriate postings and misuse of our messaging system may result in loss of membership privileges both for BoomerAge Duluth and Meet Up as well.
As a member, we ask that you RSVP to events no later the two hours beforehand and to change you’re RSVP within the same time period if you find yourself unable to attend. Event hosts do try to make sure that they include everyone who has signed up, and "no-shows" are strongly discouraged.
For liability purposes, this site and all BoomerAge activities are sponsored by Fit to Go Inc., Duluth, MN. The names BoomerAge and BoomerAge Duluth are sole property of Fit to Go Inc.
When requesting to join BoomerAge you will be asked to submit a brief introduction and answer a few questions about your interests. We encourage all members to register with a recent headshot photo (we can help you with this) and their real names. This is a safe group and photos keep scammers out, assist event hosts in finding people, and helps members get to know one another. Since many members have the same first names it is good to register with your first and last name or initial to avoid confusion.
In order to join BoomerAge you must first be a member of Meet Up itself .To join Meet Up go to meetup.com and complete your free registration.
To protect our members and provide quality Meet Ups that fit our mission we reserve the right to remove members at any time. If you know of someone who is a threat to your safety or may be a threat to the safety of others please let us know. Meet Up gives all organizers the rights and tools to choose members as well as to remove and/or ban them from a group.
Thanks for stopping by our site. . If this group appeals to you, we hope you will try it out.

Please note: BoomerAge Duluth is the original boomer Meet Up group that was featured in the Duluth Budgeteer article in the summer of 2014. The Meet Up group called Boomer Fun and Fitness was started at a later date by a former member. We are in no way affiliated with Boomer Fun and Fitness and should not be confused with that group.
