9 Mile Run (Now it's SERIOUS! Half Marathon Beginner Group)

We'll be running 9 miles along the Stevens Creek Trail. This is a training run for our beginner half marathon group. However, you do not need to be training for a half marathon group to join us. Simply come out for the run and meet new runners! We'll meet at the described address which has a lot of parking and is adjacent to the trail.

There are five weeks left in this program.  Here is what the next five weeks will look like:

Sunday, March 2nd: 9 miles

Sunday, March 9th: 10 miles

Sunday, March 16th: I will be out of town this weekend so this run will be on your own; you can do a shorter run like 6-8 miles or maybe sign up for a 5K/10K race

Sunday, March, 23rd: 11 miles

Sunday, March, March 30th: 12 miles or 8 miles depending on race day

Sunday, April 6th: 8-10 miles depending on race day

Wednesday Night runs will start March 12th

Things to consider:

*Get 2-4 runs (3-6 miles each run) in during the week

*Get plenty of rest/sleep the night beforehand

*Eat and hydrate well the night beforehand

*Eat a light breakfast an hour or two before the run 

*Bring water and nutrition supplements for the run

    My knee hurts and couldn't run more than a mile right now. I plan to take a break for a while to get it healed. :(
