Thursday Evening Stroll 6:30pm

Difficulty Rating: 1-2 out of 5 - few short hills, usually paved trails, 3-5 miles

Bring your flashlights in case we don't get back before dark.  There are several variations on the trails from this site.  Occassionally we will meet at other places in the area.

Check back an hour before the walk, if possible, to see if the walk is still on.  Bring a flashlight if you have one, but generally there are enough people that have them so not everyone needs one.  I have a few extra as well.

Note that we leave promptly at 5 minutes after the specified start time.  If you're running late, give me a call and maybe you can meet us somewhere along the trail, then someone can drive you back to your car at the end of the walk.

Here is a map of a typical walk with some options.  Note that we vary this route, sometimes a lot, so treat it more as a typical walk than the actual route on any given day.  If you are running late and want to meet somewhere along the way, coordinate with the trip leader (but having this map handy will help).

4.5 miles at 3.3 mph, and excellent conversation. Thanks to Lydia for the re-route.

I missed you guys by about 10 minutes last night, I'll definitely leave myself more time for traffic tomorrow! I still had a nice walk exploring the Reston paths.

Several people actually arrived after we started. Since the first part of the Tuesday walk goes to the same place, they caught up while we were discussing the talk. After you've got been on the route once, you'd have the option to catch up, if you wish. There are a lot of nice trails around Reston - glad you got to enjoy the weather.
