Munds + Lee Mountains

This is a relisting of the dayhike option I had listed----below. I am not deleting that description because that would delete the communications.

Drive down I-17 to the Schnebly Hill exit. Drive almost to where the road drops down to the Sedona area and take a dirt road---if we have enough clearance in whatever car/SUV we are using---otherwise, walk to the trailhead. From the trailhead, we will go up to the top of Munds Mntn. This rise---about 2-300 yards is steep enough to be called strenuous unless you take it slow and easy---which is my plan. Everything else is easy-moderate. Then, we will hike the trail as far as anyone wishes---it ends in about 2 miles. Gas: $7. We will pick up a participant on our way south.

I am only giving this hike 4 stars---because of the gnats! Photos to follow. Three went---after everyone who let us know they were coming arrived---we left. One showed up afterward.

For anyone who doesn't know where the country store is. Coming south on the 17 from Flagstaff take the Kachina Village/Mountainaire exit and turn left. Simply follow the road, it will curve to the right and the store and tavern will be on your right. There is nothing else out here so you really can't miss it.
