Friday Night Freethought:

  • Apr 12, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

This is our open drinks and discussion night, it is intended to be adult-centric but children are welcome - see more on this below.

The 'agenda': We will have a member highlight and a discussion topic to open the evening, after that it's about just hanging out with like-minded friends!

Member highlight:

Discussion topic:

This is an adult-centric event but children are welcome and childcare can be arranged. Besides the likelihood that the conversation we boring for most of a younger audience, this also means that the discussion will be unrestrained. We try very hard to create an atmosphere that feels very safe for authenticity. We don’t censor topics or language at most of our events. Some of us choose to shield our children from these kinds of discussions while other of us prefer to have our children participate. Either way your kids are welcome. A separate space for the kids to play can be created, away from “grownups” and their blah, blah, blah but if you want your kids to participate or you see other kids there, don’t let that restrain your authentic exploration of whatever comes up.

I had a great time visiting with everyone. I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had to work in the morning. Looking foreward to more.

I haven't been too active with the group (at all) but I have time tomorrow night. I would like to participate if I can find a ride to and back. If anyone is able, let me know please. Thank you
