At this meeting we are hoping to get the ball rolling on our Children's Ethics Education program. We are looking for ideas and people to help develop this exciting program to run alongside our adult ethics discussions!

We will also be discussing charity events. If you're intereseted in getting more involved with the service and charity projects side of Freethinkers we would love to have you!

This is intended to be an open meeting and all are encouraged to attend and contribute!

Gleanings from Ken Robinson's talk (link in previous post): Curiosity is the engine of achievement and teaching is a creative endeavor. But in the U.S. education deploys a command and control system based on a mechanistic conception of education and a culture of standardization and compliance. But education is for human beings and should be a human-based system.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
