Plan the homeless funraiser

This is the feed and clothe the homeless crochet-a-thon that my daughter Julian created. We have a venue Kickstand Kafe' and a date - the 28th. This is a simple one to make happen but s very short time in which to make it happen well. We need to start working right now to get the word out and collect donors and recruit knitters and crochet'ers - There isn't time to wait for the next committee meeting we have to get moving NOW!! If you want to be on the planning and support team please let me know ASAP (RSVP here and/or text or call[masked]) If you can make an initial planning meeting this Thursday that would be great too - if you can't but still want to help that's great there will be a few meeting and lots to do! Right now I'm thinking of having the meeting in the conference room at my office - that worked pretty well for the float planning but if someone want to host so they can also have kids managed or so they can drink heavily - we can move it but we have to lock that down soon enough for people to plan. so double check the location before heading out!

Calling on all committee members and anyone else that can help out even if it's only hanging a few fliers!

Sorry, I am having to cancel, as was asked to attend a NAIC meeting also. A friend of mine who works for Veteran's Resource Center, an agency which helps homeless and near-homeless vets, said fund raising would be most appreciated. Many expenses come up for which their grant does not allow funding, such as emergency food, transportation to an interview or interview haircut and clothing, application fees for housing etc. Just an idea.

I thought the NAIC meeting was last night? I hope your liaison makes it, or made it!

The main meeting was last night. This was with the heads of the PTO's. I was filling in for Leah M.

I would absolutely LOVE to help and participate, but won't be home until Friday. I'm really disappointed to miss this meeting!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
