Book Club: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks

  • Apr 3, 2014 · 6:30 PM

By popular vote, we're reading "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks." As usual, let's make it a pot luck so we don't have to worry about dinner. Teneille, Piero, and myself have hosted so far; any volunteers for the location? Also, when we meet we will have a discussion about how we choose books and if we want to change the system.

Okay I will come anyways! It would be fun to get to know some other avid readers and have a fun discussion. Potluck, right? Any requests specifically or "don't brings"?

I was hoping to come also but I haven't finished the book yet! Unfortunately I have the habit I trying to read too many books at once! Enjoy the discussion!

Hi - sorry, I'd originally had this on my calendar for tonight, the 1st. Am out of town the rest of the week. Hopefully, you'll have a terrific discussion. To me, the book read like a mystery story, with an interesting mix of science and sociology.

I've read it in another book club, and even given a copy to my daughter, who is a scientist. Some interesting conversation in other book club.
