This is a group for people who love great food, but also are conscious of where it comes from, what’s in it and how it affects their health, well being, and the environment! What the heck is a Flexitarian? “Flexitarian” is a term recently coined to describe those who eat a mostly vegetarian/vegan diet, but occasionally eat meat or other animal products (eggs, honey, etc...). Whatever your reason for eating less meat, no meat, or no bi-products what-so-ever, all are welcome! Our main focus is on enjoying great food and great company! This is not an activist group, and any meet-ups geared around discussing beliefs or lifestyle choices will be clearly posted as such. Our meet-ups include dinner outings at responsible restaurants, pot-lucks, wine tastings, festivals, and other foodie type activities! Join us and enjoy awesome food and friends, while being a responsible member of the ecosystem!
Note on RSVP's:
We'll have all types of events posted from restaurants to festivals! Some of our meetups, especially those at restaurants, have strict rsvp guidelines. If you rsvp yes for an event and cancel with less than two days notice, you will receive a 'warning', after the second late rsvp cancellation you will be removed from the group. We often have to make special accommodations with restaurants (especially the good ones!), so correct rsvps are important! Thanks again for joining our group, see you soon!
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
