This film has received great reviews by just about all who have seen it.

Plot> A fictional film set in the alluring world of one of the most stunning scandals to rock our nation, 'American Hustle' tells the story of brilliant con man Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his equally cunning and seductive British partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) is forced to work for a wild FBI agent Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper). DiMaso pushes them into a world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafia that's as dangerous as it is enchanting. Jeremy Renner is Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds. Irving's unpredictable wife Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence) could be the one to pull the thread that brings the entire world crashing down. Like David O. Russell's previous films, American Hustle defies genre, hinging on raw emotion, and life and death stakes.

After the movie we'll go nearby for a chat and a snack. Hope you'll join us.---Lee

I enjoyed the movie very much, the acting was well done, I had a few chuckles, and I related to a few references to The Bronx. Also, I liked the era in which it took place, the early 1970's - the wallpaper and furniture brought back a lot of memories (friends of mine had the same exact sofas, so true of those years - just a little aside.) Panera, as always, was a lot of fun.

The movie had funny parts, good acting, and it kept our attention. I did feel the movie was a little too long but it was ok. I did stay awake for the most part so that is good. Anyway, we had a few new members that joined our group and they were very nice and very friendly. It was great that everyone came to Panera Bread and we all had a good time with a lot of great conversations. I was so happy that Pat came to Panera too. As always, it was a wonderful evening with a great crowd of nice and friendly people. I totally agree with Helena saying that this group seems to attract the nicest people. I always look forward to spending my Saturday nights with this group and I love the movies Lee choses.

I liked the movie-I thought the acting was very good although I did think it was a little confusing trying to figure out just who was conning who. Had a very enjoyable time at Paneras and meeting new members. This group seems to attract the nicest people!

Can't make the movie. Tight schedule with work. Christmas things to finish. Maybe see you after the film.
