This is the fourth of our "Skills Challenge" events. These challenges put your artistic and camera skills to a test. It's open to all: beginners and advanced photographers, as well as point-and-shoot and DSLR users. The only requirement is a willingness to face a tough challenge to improve your photography skills.
These skills challenges will not be easy. They are designed to limit your ability to make full use of some aspect of artistic control — or to force you to use controls and techniques you've been ignoring. We'll also be shooting towards dusk and after sunset, which will force you to use tripods or higher ISO settings to compensate for lower light levels.
Tonight's Skills Challenge is High Dynamic Range Photography. You may need some special equipment such as a tripod, but's not mandatory. Jeff will give instructions to the beginners to help them get started. You can also go to Stuck in Customs, one of the FCCP sponsors, and read their FREE HDR Tutorial.
There will be an optional gathering following the Skills Challenge at a local restaurant/pub.
