Cars & Coffee at duPont Registry

Have you ever seen $3 or $4 Million (or more) of autos parked in a row?  It's not uncommon to see a dozen Porcshes and a half dozen Ferraris parked in a row.  Throw in a few Shelby AC Cobras and many other examples of Detroit Iron from the '60's and '70's and you have a real car show.

Cars & Coffee happens the third Saturday of almost every month.  Join FCCP for this monthly event and get some great shots of Ferraris, Lotus', Lamborganis, Bentleys and probably even a Porsche or two.

This month their featured guests are:

-Zino Platinum
-Euro Cycles of Tampa Bay
-Hell's Bay Boatworks

They even have a photography contest and you can read more about it on their Facebook Page. FCCP will be doing this every month, but be sure to check the C&C site to make sure the event is on.

Thanks for the comments Jim. I've been to this one other time (coincidentally, also Feb but in 2012) and noticed then that people tend to leave early. I intended to get there closer to 7, but you know how that goes :-).

Hi Karl, I like variety too and enjoyed scrolling down your blog. Just to let you know, it's best to arrive at the duPont Registry early, because even on dry days the exodus starts around 8. However, when it's not raining, I often stand along Tech Drive and photo the cars as they leave. I have also been known to go down to Ulmerton, where the cars are going faster and pan them for motion blur. I don't know what Jeff saw this morning, but when I looked at weather.com, it showed a 30% chance of rain for zip 33716.

Sorry, we didn't run into each other today, but I'm looking forward to meeting you next time, Jim

The weather was great today (the forecast was very low % for some rain in the morning) so I was a little confused why it was cancelled. I, too, went anyway. There were lots of cars of all types when I arrived around 7:20. But I think I understand why Jeff cancelled. Once the skies were a little threatening, a bunch of the owners got their cars the heck out of there. I guess they didn't want them to get wet! It was still worth the drive over from Tampa though!

This moring, I checked the hourly forecast on weather.com and saw why Jeff canx, but since I don't live too far, I decided to go anyway. I spent nearly an hour taking photos and then it started to rain. There were lots of cars and the organizers were very selective on who could park next to the buildings. It was light enough to take photos from the start and the March show should be even better...

Pretty sure I'll go, but looks like I might be alone!
