There will be children’s arts & crafts, musical entertainment, food for purchase, and free beverages. The evening ends with a drum circle around a camp fire.

This event is free, family friendly and open to the public. (Ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult) Live rehabilitated birds and birds-of-prey exhibits, live reptile exhibits, environmental presentations and exhibits, arts & crafts, Bonsai presentation, drum circle, evening campfire with marshmallow toasting and s’mores.

This event is a DIY (Do It Yourself). There will be no FCCP instructors available, but go for an hour or go for the day, enjoy, and take your best shots!

I really enjoyed this festival. Great photo ops and enjoyed the "critter show" in the cool classroom!

Yes, that educational presentation was very informative. It was a welcome respite from the heat too!

At first I was a little disappointed, because the few birds were all in cages, and not easy to take pictures of, but then, when we reached the actual "event" there were birds with handlers that could be photographed and viewed well. We also attended a presentation in a blessedly cool classroom where they had 2 lives owls, a snake, and a poison frog. It turned out to be an enjoyable outing and educational as well. Good for local trip.

I agree Nancy. It turned out to be beautiful day with a lot of photo opportunities. Looking forward to going back to see if there are little ones in the coopers hawk nest. Thank you for organizing this outing.

You're welcome, Denise, but I really didn't organize anything, I just posted the DIY meet up as a suggestion for anyone who might like to check it out. Would have been suitable for parents with grade school children too. I'd like to go back to check that Cooper's Hawk nest as well.
