Weekly "Flower, Foliage and Fungi," Showcase

  • Jun 15, 2014 · 8:00 AM
  • Online

This is an opportunity to show

fellow FCCP Members

what you have been shooting!

This is NOT a webinar or online event!

This is an opportunity to share your

best photos with other FCCP members

via our photo galleries.

A photo gallery will be automatically created about an hour after the start of the "showcase" for everyone to post their best "Flower, Foliage and Fungi," photos.  This is not judged and there are no prizes or awards.  Please post your comments to the photos in the gallery and be respectful of your fellow members.  You do not need to enter to leave comments or share your thoughts.

This "event" takes place every Sunday to encourage everyone to go out and practice their photography.  The bottom line is the more you shoot, the better you get.  The better you get, the more fun photography becomes.  The more fun photography is, the more you shoot.  The more you shoot, the better you get . . . you get the picture (no pun intended).  This is a repeating cycle and a great way to improve.

The only "rules" are that the photos need to have been taken within the last two years and cannot have been posted on the FCCP site before.  We're trying to encourage members to post here first so that members can see original photos.

Previously posted images can be posted to your personal photo gallery and receive comments in that manner.  Thanks for your cooperation and understanding.

Hi can I get tips on the best camera to buy. I travel a lot and take nice pictures with my IPad. I just returned from a visit to Yosemite National Park where I realized I want to be more involved with my shots. Can't wait to get started with your group

LOL, here comes the Nikon vs. Canon debate...the real answer will not be a brand, but what you want to do, how much you want to spend and a ton of other questions that you will have to answer. Come to a few meet ups and talk to people and also look through previous weeks shots to see if you can find a style that matches what you want to do and try to either meet them at a meet up or send them an email. Most will be happy to help out and many will let you at lease look their equipment on the walks. Then get out your credit card! ;-)
