The full moon will rise tonight about 8:40 PM behind the Sand Key Bridge. This event doesn't happen very often, sometimes not even every year. The best location "should" will be along the north end of Sand Key, along the beach and break wall.
I can't extremely accurately predict the best spot to shot the moonrise. I may be off as much as 100 yards so be prepared to move your camera/tripod in a hurry. We'll have about 15 minutes to capture the best reflections etc, so come prepared with fresh batteries and cards and shoot LOTS of images, this may not happen again from this location, for a few years.
The meetup starts at 8 PM so that experienced members can give instruction on how to set your cameras for best White Balance, Exposure Mode, ISO, Drive Setting, Auto Focus Setting etc. Arrive late and we'll do the best we can to bring you up to speed, but no promises. You will need a tripod to best capture this scene.
Afterwards we can catch a bite to eat and relax on Clearwater Beach at the newly remodeled Bait House in Clearwater Marina.
