As the first month of 2013 rapidly comes to a close, we've packed this weekend with a lot of great photographic activities. Leading off this weekend are three days of educational opportunities and FUN, several of which are FREE, for all members.
Learn long exposure and nighttime photography tonight in Tarpon Springs. This is one of our most popular Mini Workshops and covers all the basics of nighttime photography. We even throw in a little painting with light and other techniques as well. You can get the complete details and RSVP here. Past participants can take the Mini Workshop for FREE, with the FCCP Education Guarantee.
FCCP Supporter Membership includes two Mini Workshops, so you can become a paid supporter and take your workshop tonight. You can learn more about FCCP Membership here (we have levels for students, disabled, military and seniors too).
The Great Code Cracking Quiz Caper is ready for Saturday morning. The weather looks great and there is still time to signup and join this annual event. This is an amazing event produced by Assistant Organizers Ted Froberg and Wade Sutherlin. They have put in dozens of hours in the planning and preparation for tomorrows' event and it promises to be the best yet.
You can still sign up individually or as a team (requires 4 members and could be mom, dad and 2 children) but don't delay. Here is the link to learn more and get signed up. This years winners will receive a trophy and a free Mini Workshop of their choice.
Join FCCP Members for Shoot the Moonrise from Sand Key this Saturday at 5 PM. This is a great photo opportunity that we do once a month at different locations around the Greater Tampa Bay area. Like all our PhotoWalks, this event is FREE for all photographers, so invite a friend and get them started in this great hobby. All the details are here, so don't delay, sign up today!
Can't make the moonrise, then how about a sunrise from Fort De Soto this Sunday morning? A second spectacular PhotoWalk this weekend will take place at Fort De Soto this Sunday. Details are on the site here. There are many great photo opportunities on the beaches, at the historic fort and much more. There is a $5 entry fee to the park and an optional breakfast/lunch will take place afterwards. I hope to see you there.
This Sunday's Beginning Digital Photography Bootcamp/Workshop is full. But don't worry, there are three in February and three in March. They fill fast so check them out here and get register soon.
Lastly, a great opportunity to take a workshop from one of the best photography instructors I know, Beth Reynolds. Beth was the lead the photography program at the Morean Center in St. Petersburg and has the distinction of being the City of Tampa's very first photographer laureate. She is an amazing photographer and will be leading a multi part workshop featuring the Florida State Fair. This is a hands on workshop with a full day at the State Fair under Beth's tutelage. The discounted registration fee for our group is just $360 per person for the three day, 22 hour weekend series. You can learn more here.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing you on a PhotoWalk soon!
