Meet firearm enthusiasts living all over Florida who are interested in shooting. Beginners and advanced shooters are welcome. Those who don't own a pistol but have always been intrigued by them are welcome to introduce themselves at our next informal shoot. The Florida Shooters Club is an NRA member affiliated club. However, membership in the NRA is not a requirement to attend any Florida Shooters Club shoots unless we post that it is the requirement of a hosting venue for a specific event. Florida Shooters Club organizer, Neal Wiseman, is also a proud supporter of  Gun Owners Of America http://gunowners.org/ . The Florida Shooters Club is intended to be a hub for Florida shooting enthusiasts, instructors, and spectators to communicate and network with other like minded people living in their communities.

Members are encouraged to propose scheduling a shoot by using the "ideas" menu option at the top of the home screen. Members are most likely to have their idea scheduled onto the calendar if at least 14 days notice is given, if other members express interest in the idea and if details such as location, time and gun range fees are provided. We recommend using the discussion board to organize details of you meetup idea with other Florida Shooters Club members before the idea is scheduled.

Police, security personel, civilians, military contractors, active and retired vets alike participate in our shoots. The Florida Shooter Club originated in West Palm Beach and has grown to include members from all over Florida. Scheduled shoot locations should change to a different indoor and outdoor gun range regularly to keep things interesting. The shoots will generally be informal in nature. However, we welcome pistol / rifle instructors and other firearm enthusiasts who wish to organize a shoot with a planned course of fire to make a suggestion by using the "ideas" menu option and to follow up with starting a relative discussion on the message board.

The FSC organizer, Neal Wiseman  is from Fort Lauderdale. He is the partner owner of Dixie Guns and Ammo in Pompano Beach with James Mancini. Neal Wiseman and James Mancin are NRA basic pistol instructors and both live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There are several NRA firearm instructors in the group. E-mail guns-ammo@usa.net, for contact information to an NRA instructor from your area if you are looking to obtain your concealed weapons license. Many of the scheduled informal shoots will be attended by other NRA instructors living close to each selected gun range. We encourage NRA instructors to become involved in posting ideas for casual shoots, to attend them and to welcome new shooters, offering corrective shooting advice. Instructors are welcome to offer additional training services to members.  However, firearm instructor members who are reported to be actively soliciting, pestering, or spamming other Florida Shooters Club members are subject to being ejected from the club. Please use discretion by only offering advice and additional training courses when asked or when appropriate.

Credit for sponsorship will be given on the scheduled meetup event's page and a sponsor's web page link will be posted on this group's home page for at least 3 months.
