Florida Sport Paddling Club is a statewide organization for people who enjoy canoeing and kayaking. We also have out-of-state members. Beginners as well as experienced paddlers are welcome. It's an easygoing group that doesn't just talk about getting out on the water - we get up and go!  The club originally started in the 1970's so we know where to go for a good paddling experience.

Our members volunteer to coordinate trips, most of which are described in our monthly emailed newsletter and some are on our Meetup site. There are trips suitable for people of all skill levels. Paddles range from a lazy afternoon jaunt, to a weekend on a slow-moving subtropical Florida river, to a week-long trip in Georgia, the Carolinas or Alabama, or farther afield in Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Montana or Utah. We've even paddled on the Yukon River in Canada.  Some trips include hiking or bicycling or camping, either along the river or in  nearby facilities. All of our trips include good company, good conversation, and often, good food!

We cater to both kayaks and canoes.  Many members own both and use the one that is best suited for the trip.

Trips

We often camp at campgrounds before/after the paddle, or some just come for the day....check with your trip coordinator. Camping days are not necessarily indicated below, unless river camping.

While FSPC is a private club, prospective members are welcome to attend one event first, to see if you like it, before joining.  Contact our Membership Chairman (below) to find out what trips are coming up that you might be able to go on.

Being a member gives you access to all of our events, our monthly newsletter, and our private Meetup site. All it takes is $9.00 per adult ($4.50 after July 1), filling out a very short form, and signing a waiver required by our insurer.

To find our short application and waiver click "here".  Print  them, fill them out, and send both, along with your dues, to the Membership Chairperson as indicated on the Application Form.  Yearly dues are only $9 per adult. Children under 18 are free. You must be a dues paying member and sign a waiver to to be a member and to use our complete Meetup site.  The dues pay for insurance covering all members while on the water and for the Meetup site.

Our Membership chair person can be reached at:  FSPC.MembershipChair@gmail.com

Our website is at https://sites.google.com/site/flsportpaddlingclub/

We  have a lot more regular members, but not all our members join the Meetup site.  So, it is usually best to look for trip details in our emailed newsletter.  Currently our Meetup membership is.....

We're 81 Paddlers
