Micanopy Historical Trail

This easy walk of 2.7 miles will take us past about 50 historical sites in one of Florida’s oldest towns.  From I-75, drive north on SR 234 into Micanopy, east on Seminary (NW 2nd) Ave. and north on Cholokka Blvd. to park along the street between Magnolia and Seminary Aves.  Or, from US 441, enter Micanopy directly from Cholokka Blvd. and head south to just past Magnolia Ave.  You probably want to bring money for lunch in one of the pair of good restaurants, and save some time for wandering through the antique shops. Public is invited. Leisure

My first walk, brought 2 friends, Steve didn't come. Hope he is ok. Went through the craft festival with friend while hubby sat and people watched. Beautiful weather.

I don't know. The leader never showed up. There were 10-12 of us that stood at the corner of Cholokka and Magnolia for over a half hour and finally gave up and walked the craft festival. I drove from Mount Dora for the walk and am very disappointed with the result.

Looking forward to attending, since the last few times this has been held I've had a calendar conflict. May bring a couple of friends.
