Winter Park Historical Trail

From Interstate 4, drive east on Fairbanks Avenue, north on Orlando Avenue (US 17-92), and east on Morse Blvd. to the large municipal parking lot at the SE corner of the intersection of Morse Blvd. and New York Ave. Look for the group at the east side of the lot, close to the train station. From there, we’ll walk about 3.6 miles along Park and Interlachen Avenues and some streets in between to see about 50 historical sites of downtown Winter Park.

Public is invited. Leisure.

I enjoyed it very much...the weather wasn't too hot and we did get just a little rain at the end thanks to Issac's first rainband. Steve's knowledge was accompanied by Perry who grew up in that area and remembered the Winter Park High School and The Colony Theater. Lots of old architecture. I took several pics and will post shortly.

I would like to see this Winter Park Historical Trail meetup guided tour offered again in the future, preferably on a Saturday, either morning or afternoon, especially since the weather on August 26 is predicted to be horrible.
