Bicycle Wekiva Springs State Park

Meet at the Sand Lake parking lot at 1000 for a 12-15 mile bike ride on the back trails of the great SP. Nothing strenuous just easy barely rolling hills.

I'm new to this group ... we may come and meet you, but I'm not yet up to this distance, so will probably then do our own thing ...

Ginny, a hybrid bike will be fine.

Megan, a hybrid would be better; but, a cruiser will be OK if you are willing to work a lot harder as cruisers are much heavier & slower than hybrids or mtn bikes. If you like I can bring a bike for you. just let me know.

Hmmm... I'm thinking of doing this bike ride, but have become rather accustomed to the paved trails. I can bring my hybrid bike with fairly knobby tires - how rough is this trail? Chicken heads and corduroy are a bit much for me.

You'll definitely need mb....sugar sand about 80% of trail!!

Josh, I disagree. There is only one section that is mostly sand & I can keep us off of that section.
