Hike in Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Start off your day with a hike in JDSP! Gather at the front gate at 8:00 a.m. Bring two liters of water to keep hydrated. You may be turned away if you do not have the requisite water. The hike will be anywhere from 7-12 miles long. The trail taken will be decided upon by the activity leader on the day of the hike.

Lunch afterwards at Dune Dog. We leave on time, so if you are late you may miss us.

I regret not coming. Overdoing it and worn out. Sounds like it was great! What's the Fb page?

Another great day in the park. Starting at the parking lot by the river, we started on the nature trail, had a quick stop at the Kitching Creek overlook, then on to the Kitching Creek pole bridge where we picked up the OTLHT and continued SW to the white trail, over to the campsite and took a break. Then it was back on the combined use trail going north to the north Kitching Creek bridge where we crossed back to the east side of the creek and then headed back to the parking lot. We got a nice cooling shower with about a mile to go but unfortunately some lightning, to close for comfort, came with it. Still a great day and wonderful hike. About a dozen hikers were there with one first timer. We hiked about 8 miles, not bad for a July hike.
