Choctawhatchee - TRAIL HOGS Pages

WHO - The Choctawhatchee Trail Hogs are a group of ECO-volunteers who build and maintain the Florida National Scenic Trail (FNST). We partner with and volunteer at the E.O. Wilson Biophilia Center in Freeport, Florida and on the Eglin AFB Reservation.

WHAT - The FNST is a 1300 mile hiking trail From the Everglades to Pensacola.

WHEN - Weekly workdays on Tuesdays and selected weekends.

WHERE - 70+ miles of the FNST in Okaloosa and Walton Counties on the Nokuse Plantation and Eglin AFB Reservation.

The group is a subset of the FLORIDA TRAIL - Choctawhatchee Chapter - MEETUP:

During 2013 Florida Trail Association volunteers devoted over 23,000 hours maintaining and expanding the FNST in the Florida.
