Day Two: 7.4 miles Lake Delancy to 88 Store
Camping: Primitive at Lake Delancy area
One of the most awe-inspiring sections of the Florida Trail, the segment between the Rodman Dam (more properly known as the George Kirkpatrick Dam) and Lake Delancy immerses you into longleaf pine forests that seem to go on forever. Providing a fine balance between the Big Scrub habitats and the breathtaking old-growth longleaf pines
Meet at Rodman Dam Campground entrance stop at gate tell them you are parking overnight to hike fee is $4.50.
Hike south on the Florida Trail to Lake Delancy area 7.4 miles or further depending on the how far the group wants to hike.
Cannot camp at Lake Delancy without a permit but you can go in there and refresh your water it is suppose to be a water source.
Camp overnight along the trail and if you make a fire PLEASE make sure it is extinguished before you leave the area.
