Lil Rev is back in town!

Aloha Stringbusters,

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful time bringing in the New Year, let's be thankful for a wonderful year we had in 2012.

We are going to have a lot of "FUN" this year and to start it off we are inviting back our good friend Lil Rev. He will be conducting a great workshop and concert at Penny Lane on the 10th of January. So don't miss out!

If you are stuck in a rut, playing the same music, doing the same strumming pattern or singing the same style of music genre...then this is the workshop you don't want to miss. This is YOUR workshop! You want to move ahead in your playing? Come and attend Lil Rev's workshop!

Learn roll strokes, triplets, slides, tremolo, novelty strokes, tricks, set to a great grab bag of blues, tin pan alley and novelty numbers.

Lil Rev calls his style of performance “edu-tain-ment”. It is a combination of songs, history, stories, poems, quotes, and jokes all wrapped up in a cloak of exuberance and gratitude for those moments when we can all come together and rise up singing…and celebrate life! Currently Lil Rev writes instructional books for Hal Leonard Publishing, presents clinics all over the U.S. and tours internationally as a performer of time honored classics including: Ukulele Music, Old-Time Blues, Tin Pan Alley, American Folk, Jewish & Yiddish Folksongs, and Original Songs.

Visit Lil Rev's website for more details. Don't miss this chance to see this great performer/teacher in his second Florida appearance!

$20.00 for the workshop (7:00 to 8:30pm)
$10.00 for the concert (8:45 to 9:15pm)
$25.00 if attending both
