AARGGHHH!  This has been so difficult for me!  Since I signed up a few months ago, I've been trying to get to a meet but my schedule hasn't permitted it.  Now, you all are having a luau that I'd love to attend but I'll be manning my booth at the Davie Orange Blossom Festival!  I'll have a few cigar box ukes as well as my 3- & 4- string cigar box guitars there so if anyone wants to come by during the day, please introduce yourself!

Subject: [Florida-Ukulele-Network] F.U.N. Luau @ Plantation Heritage Park

Aloha Stringbusters,

We got a place for our luau. Thanks to Corrina for finding a very nice Pavilion at the Plantation Heritage Park. Thank you Corrina.  (crowd cheering and strumming their uke)

It's all reserved now for us, here is the website to the park. http://www.broward.org/Parks/PlantationHeritagePark/Pages/Default.aspx

Pavilion #5 is ours. It's got 15 picnic tables...that's enough tables to seat the whole Senate house.

Okay, now we got the place. Now what?

SPREAD THE NEW! Invite your friends and neighbors. And make sure they bring food. :) This is a potluck!

We will be using the 365 daily songbook. If you don't have one, let me know and I will get you one. Otherwise, go buy one at

Penny Lane Music Emporium 3045 North Federal Highway #60f  Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306

I'll be bringing my two beach cruiser bikes for those who don't play ukuleles but wants to bike around the park. If you have fun stuff to share, bring them. "dart boards, ping pong tables, tennis courts, pistols, crossbows...etc, etc, etc.

We'll be a bunch of mobs armed to the teeth, playing the ukulele!

All kidding aside (except the bikes),

We need two committee.

1) Clean up committee. The more we have, the faster and easier the task will be done. Clean up is at 4:30pm. So that means you have to stay until 4:30. Plus you get to take home most of the left overs. I'm speaking through experience.

2) I need 20 people to donate $8.75 to cover the cost of the park. F.U.N. needs to save its money so we can use for our next ukulele fest. A few people suggested this idea and I think it's a valid point. If you're in this committee, You don't have to bring food. But I know you will because you all have a good heart plus you wanna show off your dish.

Let me know if your interested.

Mahalo and Keep strummin'

Ty
