Come join us for volunteer work at Kindred Spirits Sanctuary in addition to a tour and lunch. We will be there from 10 a.m. until approximately 2:00 p.m. Everything we need is provided for the work party (rakes, gloves, etc.) but feel free to bring anything that will make your time there more comfortable. Wear closed toe shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather and for working at the sanctuary. The work party begins promptly at 10 a.m. with a tour of the farm for new volunteers. This will allow you to meet the animals and become familiar with the layout of the sanctuary as well as potential safety considerations. It will also allow time for KSS staff to find out more about your expectations and preferences in relation to your work. The tour is followed by some of the sanctuary's big farm "projects" (raking, mucking, hay clean-up, cleaning barns, limb/brush clean-up, etc.) and the day winds down with a vegan lunch, which is provided. Work parties are limited to 15 participants. If you would like, you may bring produce to feed the animals during our tour. This is not required but lots of fun to do. They love carrots, apples and other raw produce. Horse and dog treats are great, too!
*Please note that the sanctuary gate does not open until 9:50 a.m. on work party days. They love it when their volunteers can't wait to get to work, but KSS staff need their "pre-work party" time to tend to some specific chores. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
*Children are always welcome at the sanctuary when accompanied by a parent or guardian but due to the intense nature of some of the physical work completed during the work parties, the sanctuary finds that scheduling a tour separately works better for very young children. If you have a youngster who would like to participate with the work party, 10 years of age is the youngest permitted.

Here are the directions:
Take I-75 North all the way to Ocala. Get off on the exit for Hwy. 27/Williston (the furthest north of the three Ocala exits). Come down the ramp and turn left. Go 10 miles and look for a building on your left where the sign says "The Ocala Vineyard Community Church" (the sign also has a bunch of grapes on it). Take the second left turn lane in the median after you pass the Vineyard, and turn left into where the sign says DUDLEY FARM. The front gate says DF/KSS on it and will open automatically. Follow the
private drive all the way back through the Dudley property until you come to the gate that says Kindred Spirits Sanctuary on it. If you have any problems the day of your tour and need to cancel or if you become delayed or lost, please call Logan's cell at [masked] at Kindred Spirits Sanctuary.
