Have you ever performed music in front of an audience (not counting Karaoke or social jams)?

I've played and sang in front of plenty of audiences in all kinds of groups.

All enthusiastic participants are welcome, but we need harmonica, banjo, mandolin, hammered dulcimer, concertina, accordian and other keyboards, upright bass, wind instruments, etc. Would you be willing to play any of these at our gatherings?

I play most instruments well enough to know when to play and when not to.

Who's your #1 favorite folk or folk-rock performer?

In folk music, the performer comes second to the performance. Each one is unique, and therefore cannot be rated.

What are some of your favorite folk or folk-rock songs?

All of my favorites used to be other songs with other tunes and different lyrics. Thats the fun of it, so the older the better.

Word is out about our group on Meetup, the Broward Folk Club, various local papers, Gotfolk.com, Facebook, Craigslist, the church, and flyers around town. How did you hear about us?

Introduction

My name is Jesse, and I consider all music folk music. I love being a part of a group and working as a team to make good music. I know lots of songs from the 1900's on up and am always up for learning new ones and new ways of playing the old ones.

What Jesse D. is saying about this Meetup Group

I think anyone who likes music, so thats everyone, should come and join in. Whether just to sing the choruses, play some songs you might not have thought to try, meet new people, or become an internationally acclaimed super-star, its a wonderful way to make any day an interesting and pleasant one. I look forward to the next.
