Film: In the Deep Shade at the Irish Arts Center

Sep 10
Description

The Irish Arts Center, a non-profit New York-based arts and cultural center, is hosting a screening of In the Deep Shade on Tuesday, September 10th at 7 pm. Since your group has shown interest in independent films, we would like to invite you and your group members to join us!

In the Deep Shade follows The Frames, one of Ireland's most enduring bands on their European tour. Director, Conor Masterson, the band's photographer since 1998, gives us a behind the scenes look at a band 20 years in the making. Through Masterson's impeccable eye he strikes a perfect balance between candid interviews and live performances making for a visually captivating film that illustrates The Frames creative process with Glen Hansard’s driving role highlighted and the bands’ continued influence in the Irish music scene today. We couldn't be more excited to have the opportunity to screen this documentary -- it is not to be missed!

We would like to invite your group to enjoy this gorgeous documentary at the discounted price of $10 (regularly $12) for members of your Meetup group using the code MEETUP.

We were hoping you would pass along this information and discount to your members of your Meetup group or to anyone you think that might be interested. We feel that In the Deep Shade's style and content is especially relevant to those interested in independent films, documentaries, and Irish music.
