Chinese folk rock band Shanren has a Free show this Saturday, March 17 at Ran Tea House in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Or, a 2nd show on March 20 at The Saint, @ 601 Main St, Asbury Park, NJ. Shanren's music will be played on the radio program Transpacific Sound Paradise with Rob Weisberg on NY radio WFMU Radio 91.1FM l from 6-9pm leading up to the show.

Shanren is well known in Beijing's vibrant indie folk scene with their energetic live shows. The band fuses indigenous folk music with rock, reggae, and ska, while showcasing traditional instruments such as the xiangzi, qinqin (four-stringed plucked instruments) and xianggu (a type of drum).
