Hack Night

Show off your cool projects and learn about what other people in the area are working on. We will have 3 - 5 scheduled 7 minute demos at the beginning followed by "Open Table" time where you can set up your project and share or walk around and see other projects, similar to a casual mini Maker Faire.

Let us know if you need any special accomidations for your project.

This was my first meetup, first hack night - whatever. I came without any expectations and walked away pleased to have gone and enjoyed the conversations and all the folks who participated. I was most impressed by Trev-Air and his electric wheelchair device. He had a great little commercial to share as well. I was surprised to see the variety of scope and depth of projects that were presented. It was reasonably well organized without be overly regimented. I was comfortable among all the strangers and had a chance to speak with several. I'd like to thank the organizers for the location, the setup, and for providing the water, electricity, and projector.

Careful what you ask for, I'm nearly drowning and have effectively lost track of time(RTC) trying to transition Uno to Leonardo for an extra analog input on a datalogger.#blurp

I have a large project I started working on - in phases. It entails a combination of technologies, electrical/electronic, solar, mechanical, programming, design/3D printable graphics. It's an attempt at making small, medium, and large scale prototypes towards a first viable product. However - I'm not ready to become a businessman/entrepreneur - yet. I want to "own it"; each step; not hand it off to some company to make it for me. This project just keeps getting bigger and bigger - and my head could explode trying to keep up with the end product variations that I envision.

I need people with experience to lend a hand, offer suggestions, share their knowledge, help me move forward and create. I'm closer to Roseville, but that shouldn't be a showstopper. I need to expand my human contact list - the online stuff is great to catch-up and to followup - but it's a bit distant for personal interactivity.

Hi Rojer! Your problem sounds alot like a problem we also share - how to scope out a big project and reduce it down to bite-size, progressive pieces. Email me if you want to get on the agenda to give a quick overview of your project to Makers attending Hack Night. It really makes a difference to meet people in person.
