Yes, this was the second Food Truck War I attended. As you can see 7 attended of the 84 that RSVP"d they were attending. That means that out of 100% , 8.3 % attended. To let all the Foodies know, Bea did a great deal of pre-event paperwork with everyone's name on a sheet of paper, to make sure, she did not miss anyone at the event. Is it right to make some one spin their wheels? It would be nice to get to the root of the problem. Is there not enough informational communication between members? The three of us, including Bea , shared food items from different trucks. We were able to taste more items at this event. We tasted American, Thai, Greek,Cuban and desserts. There were five lobster roll trucks with Claw Daddy's being the best. The Bom Boni truck had a trained chef on board and has been featured on the Cooking Channel's Eat St. They served sandwiches beautifully prepared topped with a quail egg. The sandwiches came out tastey with good presentation.
    THANKS BEA

So glad you and your friend were there to enjoy this event.
Yes, I thought the weather was going to be an issue but it actually turned out very nice. No rain in sight.
I can only hope that in the future members of this group would just take a couple of seconds to update their RSVP when they sign up for an event. I know we all have hectic schedules and unexpected situations keep us from attending.
It just takes a click on the website to update.
Hope to see more members next time.

I arrive by 3:30 PM and left about 6:00 PM. There was a large selection of different food items which I found interesting. A few foods brought back some memories of my international travelling. Most of the foods were unique but variations on American foods.

The atmosphere was very congenial and the weather was mild. Except for one man, the other dog walkers had great control over their dogs.

I wish that the activity had stated earlier like around 1:00 PM. This time of the year it gets dark about 7:00 PM. Some folks prefer not being out after dark. I would go again.

I took some pictures but right now I am preparing for routine medical procedures for Monday and Tuesday.

I thought it was ok, I was expecting more exotic foods. I tried a lobster roll that was too salty. My favorite truck served white chocolate key lime pie. My son enjoyed a hand dipped chocolate ice cream bar.

    Hi,
I was there from 4pm- 6:30pm. Only met 2 members. If you came after 6:30pm I hope you had a good time and took some pictures.
Please give me your feedback on this event and post your pictures on this site.
I know the organizer. Any suggestions will help them for next year's event.
There were 51 trucks this year compared to 40 last year. Less waiting in line for food. Speaking of food...DELISH!!!!
Clea and Anthony, thanks so much for joining me today.
Hope you had a good time.

    Hi Anthony,
Answer to your question about credit cards. Some trucks will take credits cards some cash only. I did see an ATM machine at event.
    I personally will take cash.

Why do we need to find a new location. The city manager is the one that sets this up. Last year I felt the field on Twiggs was a dump site and was not cleaned up well. The city needed to do a better job of preparing the site. A large parking lot in the city where the trucks could all line up for service is the optimum. Once again the city manager would have to be involved along with retail sites. I am just throwing that out there, for those individuals that are more familiar with this area.

I will absolutely, positively be attending, plus I will be bringing a friend!

I was one of the few that attended last year with Bea. People are very enthusiastic at first and RSVP, then attendance fizzles out. The selections were quite diverse and attendees could taste every kind of food imaginable. Bar Harbor Seafood had their lobster rolls and the Taco Bus will be represented along with Creperies . There were beer vendors and music provided by a local radio station. It was a fun time.
We usually take pictures of our group attendees. It would be great to have pictures with many of our new members, as well. Love to get to know you all and this is the perfect venue. See you all there!!!!

I know this is way in advance but as the time gets closer to this event I would appreciate that members please update their RSVP.
Last year we had over 40 attending and less than 10 showed up.
It helps me know who I should look for at the event.
More details will follow closer to the event date.
    See ya
